Calibration Targets

Depending on the analytical instrument, calibration targets can take various forms:

• Resolution charts, including thermal imaging types, for testing the performance of optical or camera base systems.
• Calibration scales and grids for verifying measurements on measuring systems.
• Precision pinholes with calibration certificates for checking size of optical beams.
• Targets are also used in surveying and aiming systems for calibration or alignment measurement. They may consist simply of a series of concentric circles as a chrome on glass image or can have a more complex pattern with compensation markings. These are normally custom products made to the exact specification of the customer.
   

Graticules have many standard types and the facility to make custom versions to suit individual applications.
