Graticules Optics is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of optical components and electroformed foils, with over 70 years-experience in the production of precision engineered micro-patterns.

We are looking for a capable, flexible, and enthusiastic person for an opportunity as a Trainee within our Electroforming Department at our Tonbridge site.

You will be trained in various processes to support the manufacture of our electroformed components. Processes such as mandrel preparation, grid cleaning, electroforming and resist dipping. You will be trained in the quality control and test to ensure the parts you manufacture meet our strict standards. This position will require long periods of standing and the use of chemical processes.

The position requires a good level of concentration, and a keen eye for detail, as the tasks will involve the processing of micro patterns, experience of fine detailing or microscope work an advantage. Must be able to follow work procedures and H&S guidance.

This is a Trainee position so a practical approach, willingness to learn new skills, be self-motivated and the ability to listen and follow instructions are important attributes. Full training will be given.

Hours of work are 7.5 hours a day (5 days), 37.5 hours a week. We also operate the 9-day fortnight scheme if interested. With 21 days holiday per year and offering a Company bonus scheme.
