Single-window and window-array TEM silicon nitride membranes serve as high-performance support films for TEM sample holders, enabling high-resolution analysis of biological and material specimens under electron microscopy. They can also support biological cells in TEM, SEM, AFM, Raman spectroscopy, and XRD applications.

Manufactured using advanced MEMS fabrication techniques, these micro-porous windows allow substrate-free imaging of nanotubes, 2D materials, and other nanoscale samples. Compared with traditional thin-film carbon grids, silicon nitride membranes offer a cleaner surface, more uniform porosity, and superior stability—making them ideal for demanding high-resolution characterization in both biological and materials research.
